Business Management Lecturer (Experience in teaching Social Media/Marketing)
Job Description:
Responsibilities
Learning, Teaching, and Assessment:
Provide effective support to the School in teaching, including development and maintenance of academic standards.
Plan, prepare and deliver lessons and set assessment and learning activities to a range of classes (lecturers/tutorials/asynchronous) and age groups of students (including overseas colleges, if required).
Administer the setting and marking of coursework and examination.
Review and ensure the quality of examination papers under area(s) of specialisation.
Periodically review and develop programmes pertinent to the School to ensure continued relevance and quality improvement of curricula.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate teaching materials to cover the learning outcomes of the different programmes of study.
Develop online learning strategies with a duality of pedagogical functions (online learning, Blended learning).
Research & Knowledge Exchange:
Expected to have knowledge and understanding of e-learning platforms such as Blackboard etc.
Represent the School in selected academic committee, where necessary.
Others:
Represent and participate in marketing events for the School.
Perform other duties/projects as assigned by the Assistant Director (Academic) / Director.
Requirements:
Minimum Degree (at least a pass at GCE O level or its equivalent in the language medium of the programme/module.)
3 to 4 years of experience.
Teaching experience in business management, Accounting and Finance, Strategic Management, Economics and business related modules preferred.
Experience or knowledge of module and/or programme leadership, development and administration within a higher education environment.
Evidence of engagement in professional practice and the ability to design, deliver and assess a range of modules in and related to specialist areas of professional practice.
Enthusiasm in working in an interdisciplinary context.
Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development.
Experience in working with digital technology including an interest in emerging technology and techniques and maintaining an active interest in related developments within the sector.
Ability to work as part of a wider team involving senior managers.
Forward and outlooking approach to the profession.
