Job summary

Viu in Singapore is seeking a Business Strategy and Insights Analyst to support strategic decisions through data analysis, performance monitoring, and market intelligence across Viu's markets and functions. You will work with stakeholders to identify key business drivers, develop dashboards and reports, run pilots, build forecasts and scenarios, and enable data-driven decisions with clear insights.

Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, Tableau/Looker, Snowflake, and Generative AI fluency to accelerate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in business analytics, data analytics, BI, or similar analytical roles.
• Strong ability to derive actionable insights from data.
• Proficiency in SQL and data querying in Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Perform deep-dive analyses to understand business drivers, customer behavior, SQL usage, content performance, and operations.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and performance reports to monitor key business metrics across the organization.
• Partner with business teams to gather data, conduct analyses, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Design, implement, and evaluate pilots to assess new initiatives and support evidence-based decisions.
• Develop business cases, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support strategic planning and commercial decisions.
• Support strategic planning processes and ad hoc projects as required.

Reporting to the Head of Strategy, the Business Strategy and Insights Analyst will support strategic decision-making through data analysis, business performance monitoring, and market intelligence. The role will focus on data analysis, performance reporting, dashboard development, and business intelligence across Viu's markets and functions.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to identify key business drivers, uncover opportunities for growth, and enable data-driven decision-making through robust analysis and clear communication of insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform deep-dive analyses to understand business drivers, customer behavior SQL, content performance, and operational effectiveness.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and performance reports to monitor key business metrics across the organization.
• Partner with business teams to gather data, conduct analyses, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Work with stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate pilots to assess the effectiveness of new initiatives and support evidence-based decision-making.
• Develop business cases, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support strategic planning and commercial decisions.
• Support strategic planning processes and ad hoc projects as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in business analytics, data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
• Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience querying and managing data in Snowflake
• Proficiency in Python, R or similar statistical programming languages
• Advanced proficiency in Tableau and Looker, including dashboard development, data visualization, and automated reporting.
• Generative AI fluency: Ability to leverage LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot) for code acceleration, automated data cleaning, and generating preliminary data narratives.
• Self-starter who can prioritize across workstreams under pressure.
