Role Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced LOB Head for our Softline (Fashion & Beauty) business in Southeast Asia. This leadership role is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of our fashion brand portfolio across the region. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the fashion market, strong business acumen, and a passion for building and scaling brands in a global environment.

This role is under Afshan Banu (Ex Nike, Ex Lazada, Ex Valiram).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-create a comprehensive strategy for building a portfolio of fashion brands in Southeast Asia, aligned with Opptra's overall vision.
  • Identify and evaluate potential brand partners, assessing their fit with Opptra's business model and the needs of the Southeast Asian market.
  • Lead the negotiation and onboarding of new brand partnerships.
  • Oversee the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for each brand, including e-commerce, retail, and omni-channel initiatives.
  • Manage the P&L for the line of business(s), ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team across functions such as category management, brand management, marketing, and operations.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including brand partners, retailers, and suppliers.
  • Drive innovation in retail technology and omni-channel customer experiences.

Experience & Skills Needed:

  • 10-12+ years of leadership experience in e-commerce, omni-channel commerce, or fashion franchise and retail business.
  • Proven success in managing large-scale brand or category portfolios.
  • Expertise in Fashion, beauty and other softline categories with established relationships in global brand ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams across brand acquisition, technology, operations, and marketing, focusing on global scaling.
  • A strong strategic mindset with omni-channel vision.
  • Exceptional people leadership skills and a passion for driving growth and operational excellence in a global landscape.
  • Deep understanding of the fashion market, trends, and opportunities in Southeast Asia.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze market data, develop financial models, and make sound business decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in hiring and leading teams in key functions like category management, brand management, marketing, and offline retail operations.
  • Credible network in fashion and retail ecosystem of brands, local distributor network and online and offline platforms.
