Berkeley Research Group provides independent advice, data analytics, authoritative studies, expert testimony, investigations, and regulatory and dispute consulting to Fortune 500 corporations, financial institutions, government agencies, major law firms, and regulatory bodies around the world. BRG experts provide sophisticated economic, financial, and analytical advice across a wide range of disciplines, including antitrust and competition policy, complex damages, construction, finance, healthcare, intellectual property, restructuring, valuation, and workforce issues. In addition, the firm assists clients in major industry sectors with compliance, business process improvement, and strategy consulting.
The Business Development Manager is a pivotal role within BRG, responsible for driving sales and fostering client relationships across various locations in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This position is integral to expanding BRG's market presence and enhancing its portfolio of offerings in the cyber advisory, digital forensics and eDiscovery sectors. You will have access to a full marketing team and be able to focus on the whole APAC market.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales strategy and execution:
    1. Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the APAC market
    2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets
    3. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions
    4. Generate daily outreach efforts to prospective clients
    5. Build a productive pipeline and manage each phase of the sales process
    6. Develop project budgets and create proposals
  2. Client relationship management:
    1. Instill confidence among clients with your personal credibility and experience the company’s footprint in the cyber advisory, digital forensics and eDiscovery space
    2. Establish client relationships that enable BRG to be viewed as a trusted advisor
    3. Manage and control pricing and contractual issues
  3. Market expansion:
    1. Explore and develop new markets within the APAC region
    2. Establish partnerships and alliances to enhance market reach
    3. Participate in industry events and conferences to promote BRG’s brand and offerings
  4. Reporting and Analysis:
    1. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales reports and forecasts for senior management
    2. Formulate sales plan
    3. Use data to identify areas for improvement and development
  5. Travel (including multiple annual conferences, client meetings) – domestic and/or international

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in business development selling services, rather than physical products is beneficial
  2. At least 2-5 years of sales experience in selling cyber advisory, digital forensics and eDiscovery
  3. Strong understanding of the APAC market dynamics
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate ideas and concepts well orally and produce persuasive written work
  5. Desire to work within a team environment, but also the ability to work effectively independently
  6. Self-motivated and well-organised.
  7. Commitment to get involved with social activities that the firm facilitates or provides and with professional networking organisations and participate in events that those organisations put on for its members
