About the Role

The Business Development (BD) Specialist is an integral part of Latham’s Business Development team. Located in Singapore, this role will be responsible for supporting the full spectrum of marketing and business development activities in Asia. The successful candidate will work closely with all other members of the regional BD teamto support the continued growth and success of the Firm’s practice in Asia.

Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

About the team

In Asia, Latham has a fully integrated regional Business Development team with every team member working across multiple offices, giving them a truly regional and broad perspective of our business. Our BD leadership team spends significant time finding opportunities for team members to learn, grow and evolve as professionals and we pride ourselves in having built a structure to support the advancement of each colleague in tandem with the business.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Working with regional BD Managers to assist in the planning, execution, and evaluation of Business Development and Marketing initiatives and business plans
  • Providing research, analysis, and reporting to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationships
  • Collaborating with regional and global colleagues to access their expertise and support, ranging from brand and communications, events and e-marketing to our dedicated new business team who lead on the production of pitch books, presentations and responses to RFI’s and RFP’s
  • Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of practice, market and industry expertise, client mix, matter experience, trade groups, and media
  • Acting as the go-to resource for regional BD needs and support
