Role Summary
We are looking for a Business Development (BD) Officer to join our highly regarded BD team at Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP. The successful applicant will report to the Director of Business Development and be primarily responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the firm’s CRM system; as well as the preparation and submission of Double Tax Deduction for Internationalisation (DTDi) claims for eligible expenses, to Enterprise Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
CRM
- Perform account merging and data clearance to improve the data quality of the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Update and maintain stakeholder records within the CRM system to keep them current.
- Oversee, maintain, ensuring data integrity and accuracy within the CRM system.
- Ensure the firm's client customer database is appropriately segmented for targeted email activities.
- Provide training and support to the internal teams on CRM system usage, best practices, and optimising client interaction processes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for CRM-related queries and assistance.
- Provide CRM operational, administrative, and system support as needed
DTDi
- Prepare and submit Double Tax Deduction for Internationalisation (DTDi) claims for eligible expenses, verifying and compiling necessary supporting documents.
- Ensure claims are prepared in compliance with the latest policies set by Enterprise Singapore.
- Serve as a main point of contact for Enterprise Singapore regarding DTDi applications and audits.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on claim status.
- Provide advice to internal stakeholders on the eligibility of expenses for DTDi claims.
- Ensure proper documentation is available to support claims made.
- Ensure the stakeholders' travel details are updated in the CRM’s Business Trips.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in tax compliance, claims management, or a similar role. Familiarity with Enterprise Singapore's DTDi scheme is preferred.
- Proven experience in CRM, tax compliance, claims management, or a similar role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail to manage the integrity of the CRM system effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, analytical mindset, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Independent, pro-active, detail-minded, well-organised and able to work under pressure.
- Able to develop and maintain collaborative relationships and foster teamwork with multiple departments within the organisation.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.
