An established industry player is seeking a Business Development Manager to spearhead growth across Southeast Asia. Company operates primarily in the electrical and industrial automation sectors. The company focuses on providing a wide range of solutions, including power equipment, industrial automation products, and smart grid systems.
Key Areas of Operation:
Power & Energy: We produce equipment for power distribution and transmission systems, including circuit breakers, transformers, and switchgears.
Automation & Control: The company offers industrial automation products such as PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), variable frequency drives, and control panels.
Smart Grid: We develop systems that enhance the efficiency and reliability of energy distribution, including solutions for smart grids and energy management.
Renewable Energy: The company is also involved in providing solutions for renewable energy, such as solar and wind power systems.
Key Responsibilities
You will need to travel around Southeast Asia when needed
Duties and responsibilities as Business Development Manager apply to Singapore, as well as the rest of the Southeast Asia region.
Build up strategy/business plan for each targeted market segment and develop specific action plans.
Promote company to key stakeholders and keep them abreast of the latest product & solution offerings.
Develop and maintain pipelines of opportunities for business growth.
Get company listed on bid/vendor lists of targeted end-users, government agencies, consultants, EPCs, etc.
Identify strategic projects with end-users, government agencies, consultants, EPCs, etc.
Negotiate and win opportunities directly with customers on targeted projects.
Drive and support product & solution development efforts that address customer needs.
Support analysis of strengths & weaknesses of current business and market intelligence process with respective teams.
Qualifications:
Degree in electrical engineering preferred or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in sales/business development preferably in Southeast Asia.
Solid understanding of the undertakings and applications in one or more of the following segments - Utilities, Building/Data Center, Oil & Gas/Petrochemical, Renewables, Infrastructure.
High level of communication readiness, interpersonal skills, analytical skills, team orientation, resilience, and social competence.
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills; intercultural experience and sensitivity.
Experience in project or consultancy preferred.
