Job Scope:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead and grow commercial opportunities across the Greater China region. This role is instrumental in driving revenue across all business verticals under the Chinese Media Group, including but not limited to paid content subscriptions, advertising, and sponsorship for Key International Events and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in the Greater China region.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies tailored to the region’s business landscape.
  • Track market trends and competitor activities to inform commercial strategies.
  • Revenue Generation
    • Lead sales efforts for paid content subscriptions, digital advertising, and sponsorship packages.
    • Build, maintain, and grow relationships with key clients, agencies, and partners.
    • Develop customized proposals and pitches to suit client objectives.
  • Partnership & Client Management
    • Serve as the main point of contact for business partners and advertisers in the region.
    • Negotiate and close partnership agreements that drive long-term value.
    • Ensure delivery and fulfilment of client and sponsor commitments.
  • Internal Collaboration
    • Work closely with editorial, branding & marketing, content, and product teams to align business objectives with brand direction.
    • Provide market feedback to inform product development and content strategies.
  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Set and track KPIs to measure business performance and ROI.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • A Degree in Business or relevant field;candidates with provenexperience in the media, publishing or digital contentindustrypreferred.
  • Strong network and understanding of the Greater China market, especially in Shanghai andfirst-tier cities.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and spoken)as this roles mainly supports Chinese products.
  • Self-drivenwith anentrepreneurial mindset,ableto work independently and collaboratively across teamsin a fast-pacedand dynamicenvironment.
