Job summary

A leading company is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive demand generation in Singapore and Vietnam. You will leverage technical expertise to provide solutions, support customers, and participate in project management. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's in Engineering and exceptional communication skills. Frequent travel to Vietnam is expected for key account management and project execution.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create primary demand (Sales Leads) for products and solutions.
  • Provide industry expertise, presenting solutions in front of clients.
  • Work directly with end users, consulting engineers to qualify and develop opportunities in accordance with sales.
  • Responsible for generating booking growth in Vietnam through key accounts, and project pursue activities.
  • Participate in negotiations from first customer contact for the project to closure of opportunities.
  • Deliver regular updated analyses to team and co-ordinate all sales and marketing activities
  • Provide technical, product and application support to customers (internal and external) as required.
  • Use market information to align current product and service offerings with customer needs by developing partnerships.
  • Lead and initiate in conducting competition analysis, pricing analysis, market study and product bench marking to increase company's market share.
  • Work with engineering and product support sales team to manage and execute projects in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
  • Provide input to management team regarding customer needs for new product development, product revision, and new or revised service or training offerings.
  • Coordinate the completion of technical and commercial proposals with support from application team. Creating quotes, sizing and proposals.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to contribute to company's funnel pursuit list and monthly sales call
  • Participate in weekly/monthly Sales meeting with the Sales team.
  • Continuous follow up on sales projects e.g. opportunity tracking, forecast
  • Maintain the corporate marketing database inclusive of call reports, proposals, lost sales reports and other documents as directed by management.
  • Participate in any ad-hoc projects as assigned by management from time to time

Competencies / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent to engineering science.
  • Good technical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong writing, presentation meeting facilitation skills.
  • Well-developed communications skills; able to clearly and concisely express technical information (or data) to non-technical associates, peers and senior management.
  • Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments.
  • Proficient in the use of a computer and related Microsoft software.
  • Professional education in engineering, business or related field, or similar level obtained by experience
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point)
  • Fluent in English, and Vietnamese would be an advantage.
  • Ability to achieve excellent performance in individual and team environments.
  • Demonstrated ability for on-time performance in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be self-motivated and team oriented, capable of managing time, priorities, and operates well under pressure with little supervision.
  • Able to travel 50% of the time to Vietnam
