Job description

A mega size logistics company has several openings for the roles of Business Development Manager/Deputy Manager to focus on sales leads, proposal design, and business deal negotiations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Establish and maintain networks with customers, logistics service providers, and government agencies.
  • Identify sales opportunities and pursue sales leads.
  • Design pricing strategies for different products, with a focus on Singapore or regional markets across SEAsia borders.
  • Negotiate proposals with customers.
  • Identify opportunities for synergizing physical solutions with digital initiatives.
  • Gather market intelligence on trade, market, and competitors.
  • Organize events for customer relationship management.

Operational responsibilities:

  • Develop process mappings with customers to identify supply chain pain points.
  • Partner with the operations team to redesign existing processes or create new ones to resolve pain points.
  • Work with the legal team on documents and facilitate contract signing with customers.
  • Liaise with the Finance department to implement commercial terms.
  • Serve as the point of contact between customers and internal departments for daily requests.

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualification in any discipline.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
  • Experience in contract logistics, warehousing, transportation, or freight.
  • Experience handling Life Science, Chemical, Industrial & Technology, or Retail sectors.
  • Possess business development or hunting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A good record of successfully managing customer relationships.
