Job description

A dynamic and growth-oriented company listed on the SGX Catalist Board is seeking a strategic and driven Business Development Manager to lead its newly formed Business Development Division. This role is responsible for driving B2B revenue and profitability across various segments within the Automotive space.

The ideal candidate is commercially sharp, articulate, and execution-focused, with strong stakeholder management skills and an eye for identifying new business opportunities. The role will begin in a hands-on capacity, involving a deep dive into each business area, and will grow into a leadership position overseeing a dedicated business development team.

  • Develop and implement a company-wide B2B growth strategy to drive revenue and profit.
  • Identify and close business opportunities with corporate clients, fleet owners, government bodies, and other institutional partners.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, working closely with business unit leads to drive leads and secure deals.
  • Lead or assist in securing fleet tenders, bulk vehicle purchases, and strategic partnerships.
  • Prepare high-quality proposals, contracts, and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with heads of departments to design comprehensive B2B offerings that create synergy across units.
  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing business development team aligned to key verticals.
  • Monitor key metrics including revenue, margin growth, pipeline health, and new account acquisition.

Requirements:

  • Min. 6 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring and managing enterprise clients.
  • Strong skills in proposal development, commercial pitching, and presentation delivery.
  • Excellent commercial instincts, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management.
  • Industry background in automotive, leasing, fleet management, or logistics is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Leadership potential with a willingness to transition into a managerial role as the team expands.
