Business Development Manager
- Lead the business development efforts for the Facilities Management (FM) business, establishing and nurturing relationships with potential customers and service partners, and identifying and developing new and existing business opportunities.
- Meet and exceed sales targets while adhering to company policies and ethical practices.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities in both public and private tenders to expand the client base and develop new business opportunities within the FM industry.
- Identify and prospect potential clients in the commercial and industrial sectors.
- Assist in crafting persuasive value propositions and differentiation strategies that align with client needs and expectations.
- Engage actively with clients to understand their evolving needs and address concerns promptly.
- Conduct market research to identify target markets, customer preferences, industry trends, competitive threats, and potential business opportunities in the FM industry.
- Maintain professional relationships with all internal and external stakeholders (e.g., finance, operations, vendors, clients).
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve sustainable growth and profitability.
- Drive strategic business expansion projects with the Heads of Businesses (HOBs) to support growth.
- Ensure effective implementation and monitoring of business development initiatives from conception to execution.
- Collaborate with departments to generate successful business proposals.
- Coordinate with business leaders and sales staff to enhance market penetration.
- Conduct market analysis of competitors, industry trends, and client sectors to guide business growth.
- Explore and identify new opportunities in the Singapore market, working with HOBs to map out strategic growth.
- Implement growth strategies with close tracking of activities.
- Lead initial discussions on new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to drive strategic development projects.
- Lead task forces for strategic projects and oversee due diligence processes.
- Build relationships with key accounts and partners across Singapore.
- Stay updated on market trends and new developments.
- Share progress reports on business development projects regularly.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
You are:
- Diploma/ Degree in Facilities Management, Estate Management, Business Management, or relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in facilities management and business development.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good team player, proactive, and independent.
- Experience in Facilities Management operations is an advantage.
- Must take accountability for Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) standards and outcomes.
