About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives in the battery separator industry, with a focus on lithium-ion batteries, EVs, and energy storage systems. This dual-role position requires a combination of market expansion, government relations, and technical marketing capabilities to drive revenue and brand awareness in both domestic and international markets.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new opportunities with battery manufacturers, EV OEMs, ESS providers, and electronics firms.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enter and grow in key regions such as Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America.
- Liaise with government stakeholders to align with industry regulations, secure incentives, and participate in clean energy initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and ecosystem partners.
- Collaborate with technical teams to tailor product solutions (e.g., PE, PP, ceramic-coated separators) to customer requirements.
Marketing
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and product positioning.
- Oversee the maintenance and updates of marketing content and events on company LinkedIn
- Create targeted campaigns, presentations, and promotional content for tradeshows, webinars, and digital platforms.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support positioning and pricing strategies.
- Manage marketing budgets, KPIs, and collaboration with media or external agencies.
- Organize and represent the company at industry events, conferences, and government forums.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Marketing, or Business.
- 5+ years of combined experience in business development and marketing, preferably in battery materials, chemicals, or clean energy sectors.
- Knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology and the role of separator materials in safety and performance.
- Experience working with government agencies or regulatory bodies is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation and negotiation abilities.
