About the Role

ICIS is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its business development team in Singapore. The role focuses on generating business for its petrochemical portfolio with targeted prospects across South East Asia.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead business development activities, develop acquisition strategies, and plans to win new clients across sectors like automotive, FMCG, electronics, and energy.
  2. Responsible for market expansion by acquiring new customers interested in a long-term investment in our products and solutions.
  3. Partner with customers to identify challenges and understand their business needs to provide suitable solutions.
  4. Navigate prospect organizations to identify and connect with all relevant stakeholders, nurture, and maximize opportunities.
  5. Utilize solution selling as a consultative approach, focusing on prospect objectives, establishing value, demonstrating return, and building long-term relationships.
  6. Communicate the value proposition of our products through value-led discussions, demos, and proposals.
  7. Build, manage, and close a sales pipeline effectively.
  8. Maintain customer information in Salesforce.com and relevant CRM databases.
Requirements
  • Highly self-motivated, energetic individual who can build strong relationships quickly.
  • Comfortable conducting in-depth business discussions with senior stakeholders.
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, organized self-starter with great execution skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, capable of conducting cold calls effectively.
  • Experience in solution sales and selling on value, preferably in a BDM role.
  • Commercially minded with a strong motivation to succeed in a high-performing sales team.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet changing market and customer needs.
