Roles & Responsibilities
Job Objective
To identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the oil and gas sector (upstream, midstream, and/or downstream), focusing on expanding the company’s client base, enhancing strategic partnerships, and supporting long-term revenue growth aligned with corporate goals.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans targeting oil and gas clients, including EPC contractors, operators, NOCs, and IOCs.
- Identify new project opportunities, prequalifications, and tenders in the FPSO, drilling, subsea, and related sectors.
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, government bodies, and JV partners.
- Analyze market intelligence, project pipelines, and competitor activity to position the company competitively.
- Coordinate proposal and bid preparation in collaboration with estimating, engineering, and contracts teams.
- Lead client presentations, negotiations, and contract closures in alignment with commercial strategies.
- Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, exhibitions, and technical events.
- Maintain and grow CRM database with updated records of client interactions and opportunity pipelines.
- Report regularly on KPIs, business opportunities, risk exposure, and forecast revenue streams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in business development or commercial roles within the oil and gas sector.
- Proven track record in securing contracts for services such as EPC, FEED, maintenance, or consultancy.
- Familiarity with regional and international oil & gas markets, especially offshore, FPSO, or onshore infrastructure.
- Strong industry network and market intelligence gathering capabilities.

- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
- High-level commercial and strategic thinking.
- Strong technical understanding of oil & gas services and project lifecycles.
- Self-starter with a results-driven and customer-focused mindset.
- Capable of working independently and across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in CRM tools, MS Office Suite, and business proposal software.
