The individual will establish, analyze, and be responsible for sales forecasts as well as strategize efforts to attract new customers and expand into new market segments.
Responsibilities
- Strategize initiatives to convert RFQs into sales purchase orders, while attracting new customers and penetrating new market segments at both local and international levels.
- Oversee the annual operating budget for the S&M department, making necessary adjustments as directed by management.
- Conduct regular sales calls with customers to ensure alignment with business needs and address early-stage issues.
- Generate comprehensive market research reports for senior management regarding business trends and market intelligence.
- Supervise and guide the S&M team to ensure smooth operations and assist in meeting/exceeding sales targets.
- Develop team competencies to ensure employee independence and effectiveness.
- Cultivate and maintain strong inter-departmental relationships.
- Prioritize deliverables to drive company growth through new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated by supervisors.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in an Engineering field.
- At least 8 - 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent skills in relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing.
- Attention to detail with a keen eye for numbers and specifics.
- Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Exceptional listening and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
