Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Development Manager to drive the growth of Mdm Ling Bakery’s local and international presence. This role requires a hands-on individual who is excited to explore new market opportunities, form strategic partnerships, and grow our B2B client base.

This is a key hire for our next phase of growth and may evolve as we scale — flexibility and initiative are valued highly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy to grow sales channels locally (corporates, retailers, hotels, MICE, etc.)

  • Identify and pursue partnership opportunities (OEM, licensing, collaborations, etc.)

  • Manage and grow client relationships to ensure long-term engagement

  • Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align strategies and client offerings

  • Prepare and present business proposals and reports to management

  • Explore and evaluate potential overseas markets for expansion (2026 and beyond)

  • Participate in trade shows, events, and industry networking activities

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships (FMCG or F&B preferred)

  • Proven ability to build and manage business relationships

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with fast-paced, evolving environments

  • A team player who’s also capable of working independently

  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a growing SME environment

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in international market development

  • Familiarity with food exports, regulations, or cross-border logistics

  • Proficiency in Mandarin or other languages (for regional growth)
