A logistics solutions provider in Singapore is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand market presence in freight services. The role involves developing strategies, pursuing new opportunities, and maintaining client relationships. Candidates should have 5–8 years of experience in logistics sales and preferably a degree in Business or Logistics. A strong understanding of international trade and excellent communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute business development strategies to expand market share in air, sea, and land freight services.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships and key account acquisitions.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
· Collaborate with internal teams (operations, pricing, customer service) to deliver tailored logistics solutions.
· Lead contract negotiations and pricing discussions with clients.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
· Prepare and present business proposals, forecasts, and performance reports to senior management.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
· Minimum 5–8 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics sales, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
· Strong understanding of international trade, Incoterms, customs regulations, and multimodal transport.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
