Job description

To drive business growth by identifying new market opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and developing strategies to enhance the company’s market presence. This role involves collaborating with various departments to achieve the company’s strategic objectives and revenue targets.


1) Market Research & Analysis and Innovation & Improvement

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify and discover potential business opportunities and trends and identify potential clients, channels, areas through market insights.
  • Analysis: Analyze competitor activities and market conditions to refine and implement business development strategies.
  • Innovation: Identify opportunities for new markets and innovative approaches to business development and understanding of Plant Based Beverages markets (ie, pricing, competitors, applications, trade practice etc) is an added value.
  • Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

2) Lead Generation, Client Acquisition and Relationship Management

  • Lead Generation: Generate leads through networking, referrals, and other business development activities.
  • Client Acquisition: Develop and implement strategies for acquiring new clients and expanding the customer base.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners and also serve as the main point of contact for high-value clients and address their needs and concerns.

3) Proposal Management, Performance Tracking and Reporting

  • Proposal Management: Prepare and present business proposals and contracts to potential clients, negotiate terms and conditions to secure favorable agreements.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of business development activities.
  • Reporting: Provide reports and updates on progress towards business development goals and conduct ongoing industry or market research to develop effective sales solutions.

4) Strategic Planning and Collaboration

  • Strategic Planning: Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives, develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business growth and profitability.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with senior management to align business development strategies with company goals, work closely with the marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure alignment of business development efforts with overall company strategy.
  • Participate in industry events, exhibitions, food and beverages expos, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation to discover and explore business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, and/or related field.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry is highly desirable, or at least 5-6 years of experience in business development, marketing, and sales function in the respective market.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, presentation software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • A comprehensive understanding of food manufacturing processes is also beneficial.
  • Great interest in the Plant Based Beverages market.
  • Forward thinker, open-minded, willing to travel, and eager to explore new opportunities and adventures.
  • Good leadership, excellent communication, negotiating and presentation skills, able to work together with the management and CEO in business strategies planning.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, good communication and interpersonal skills.
