A prominent company in engineering seeks a Contract Manager to handle contract tenders, manage project implementations, and maintain client relationships. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience and possess strong organizational, legal, and problem-solving skills. This role is pivotal for business growth and involves ensuring competitive tender costs while maintaining accuracy in contract documentation.
Job duties and responsibilities:
1. Tender new contracts and retain current contracts to ensure yearly revenue growth;
2. Ensure tenders costing are competitive to win tenders;
3. Managing projects implementation within the defined scope and preparation of annual
budgeting to align with business objectives;
4. Draft, edit and review all contracts/a variety of contracts with customers, sub-contractors
(etc.);
5. Conduct market research and maintain market competition information and track competitors
relative positioning;
6. Compilation of reports as requested by management or other government agencies;
7. Ensure the organization's internal contract documents are updated, accurate and well
maintained in strict confidence;
8. Meet with customers to discuss both legal and business matters;
9. Provide advice and guidance to the different teams relating to contract generation;
10. Maintain excellent working relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met;
11. Attend site show around as part of the tender requirements;
12. Provide support and advice, securing and sourcing on new potential businesses
opportunities;
13. Identify and propose new solutions/services to improve business processes and devise
plans to implement these changes;
14. Ensure successful BCA work heads renewal;
15. Responsible for keeping commitments in a timely manner and resolving issues promptly;
16. To perform any other duties as and when required or directed.
Experience/qualifications requirements:
1. A graduate degree is preferred with minimum 5 years working experience in relevant field;
2. Demonstrate a solid understanding of legal terminology;
3. Comfortable working as part of a multidimensional team;
4. Exemplify a strong attention to detail;
5. Possesses superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with
shifting deadlines;
6. Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft
Office;
7. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills;
8. Capable of professionally managing confidential information;
9. Exemplify creative problem solving abilities.
