Job description

Our client, a leading global marine insurance broker, is seeking aBusiness Development Lead- Marine Insurance to join their team in Singapore.


What You’ll Do:

  • Keep track of trends in the marine insurance market and find potential partners.
  • Work out tailored insurance plans to suit different marine clients and their needs.
  • Bring in new business locally and internationally using your existing contacts and networks.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with clients, especially in areas like cargo, hull and machinery, P&I, and charterers liability.
  • Work closely with local team and also connect with HQ team
  • Help grow clients/business opportunities
  • Offer helpful advice and support to clients in the shipping and marine sectors.

What We’re Looking For:
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in marine insurance, shipping, trading, or related fields.
  • Good understanding of marine insurance products and a useful network in the industry is a big plus.
  • Great communication and people skills, with confidence in presenting and negotiating.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and good at spotting opportunities to win new business.
  • A team player who enjoys working with others across different countries and teams.
