Job description

  • Position : Business Development Executive (Brokerage/Marine Insurance) - B2B
  • Location : Beach Road
  • Working hours : Mon-Fri (office hours)
  • Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $4,500 Basic Salary + Commission + Performance Bonus
  • Duration : Permanent
  • Industry : Insurance Broking

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in marine cargo, hull, P&I, freight liability, and related lines
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of marine insurance prospects across SME and corporate segments
  • Conduct sales visits, presentations, and negotiations with clients, freight forwarders, shipping companies, and traders
  • Meet and exceed assigned premium and revenue targets.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients by understanding their marine risk exposures and offering tailored insurance solutions
  • Act as the key point of contact for marine clients, providing support during renewals, endorsements, and claims
  • Represent the company at industry events, logistics and maritime trade shows, and networking platforms
  • Leverage existing networks in shipping, logistics, oil & gas, and commodity trading to grow brand visibility

Requirements:

  • At least Diploma in Insurance, Business, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or related fields
  • Certification in Insurance (e.g. BCP/PGI/HI) is a strong advantage
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance sales, preferably with exposure to marine insurance or transport-related risks
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
