Job description

(Freight forwarding Hunter sales)

Working days: 5 days a week, 9am - 5.30pm

Location: UE Square Singapore 239920 (Fort Canning)

Salary: Basic + Commission

Job scope:

  • Improve the company’s market position and achieve financial growth
  • Meet and exceed objectives through the development of new businesses, coordination of Business Development shipments, and existing business penetration
  • Identify target customers, initiate sales calls, pursue leads, and convert them into clients
  • Collaborate with Finance and Indoor Sales team on payment issues and follow up with clients
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of business
  • Achieve general profit in line with set KPIs
  • Prepare sales plans and forecasts
  • Source rates from carriers, hauliers, offices, and worldwide agents
  • Maintain relationships with subcontractors such as carriers, co-leaders, and trucking companies
  • Work effectively with Indoor Sales, Business Development, and other teams
  • Support sales strategies set by the Head of Business Development and Management
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Collaborate across teams (internal and external) to overcome challenges and meet objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Adhere to company policies on Compliance, HSSE&Q, Code of Business Conduct, and Employee Handbook
  • Report and document all sales activities using the company’s internal system

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of hunter sales/business development experience in the freight forwarding industry
  • Proven track record and strong network with carriers, co-leaders, and trucking companies
