An established industry player is seeking a dynamic Sales Executive to drive sales and marketing efforts for engineering plastics and chemicals across the Asia Pacific region. This role involves building strong relationships with customers and suppliers, conducting financial analyses, and developing strategic plans to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a background in polymer technology or chemical engineering, along with proven sales experience in the specialty chemicals sector. Job Responsibilities :
Drive sales and marketing efforts for engineering plastics, polyurethane chemicals, and silicones across the Asia Pacific region.
Establish and manage customer credit lines, analyze financial status, and oversee credit control in line with company policies.
Coordinate with overseas offices to expand sales opportunities with existing and potential customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Develop and execute strategic plans with suppliers to achieve both short-term and long-term company goals.
Monitor and manage pricing strategies, including monthly or weekly pricing updates from suppliers to customers and distributors.
Conduct biannual sales budget reviews in collaboration with suppliers and distributors.
Prepare and present sales reports on a monthly basis or as required.
Strengthen customer relationships to maximize business opportunities and market share.
Support sales presentations for new product grades and initiatives.
Manage and coordinate customer support activities within the framework set by the principal, ensuring alignment with product marketing strategies and objectives.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in assigned markets.
Support the principal in achieving sales targets for assigned customers based on fixed pricing structures.
Oversee outstanding invoices and handle customer complaints effectively.
Gather and share market intelligence within the team to drive informed decision-making.
Manage end-user relations by coordinating agent activities, technical services, marketing, and distribution.
Foster a collaborative team environment to enhance business performance.
Job Requirements :
Diploma/Degree in Polymer Technology/Chemical Engineering
2 to 5 years of relevant working experience from the Specialty Chemical/PVC industry
Strong communications skills (effective presentations at all levels, negotiation, problem solving).
Prior working experience in sales or import & export business (forwarding & trading activities)
Knowledge of petrochemicals industry is strongly preferred.
Result oriented, self-motivated and committed
Able to travel frequently
Proficient in MS Office applications
Salary range : S$4,000.00 – S$4,500.00
