About the role
Arvato Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to join our team. This is a full-time role that will play a crucial part in driving new business growth in the APAC region and expanding our client portfolio.
What you'll be doing
Hunt for new businesses in APAC (Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan) with primary focus on value-added logistics, warehousing, retail distribution, and end-to-end supply chain solutions. Create marketing plans and execute them.
Work with Business Development, Marketing, Solution Design, and Logistics Engineering on the creation of competitive concept proposals and develop new service offerings based on detailed and documented insight of market and client needs.
Maintain strong connections with regional and global BD teams, collaborating in generating sales leads.
Actively participate in RFQ/RFI and work closely with Project teams until project implementation.
Prepare reports on sales pipelines and status updates to different stakeholders regularly.
What we're looking for
Min. 5 years of 3PL sales experience focused on Fashion, Tech, or Data Center segments is a must.
Highly self-motivated and success-driven professional with 5-10 years of experience in solution selling & new business development (logistics/supply chain management).
At least 10 years of experience and proven track record in sales & business development in similar roles.
Very good understanding of logistics requirements and logistics solutions including warehouse design and commercial experiences.
Detailed knowledge of the target industries (Fashion, Hi-Tech, Med-Tech, Consumer Electronics, and Industrial Electronics/Components industry) and an active network to key decision makers.
Experience with working in multicultural teams and willingness to constantly learn.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
Ability to develop rapport with both internal and external customers.
At least a Bachelor's degree level, preferably at the Master's level. Specialized qualifications in SCM related disciplines will be advantageous.
Willing to travel regionally and internationally.
