Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Director to lead the expansion of our business into the medical healthcare and fitness products in global market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, contract manufacturing, strategic partnerships and market expansion within the medical healthcare and fitness industries. This role will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and driving revenue growth in these sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Market Expansion Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to penetrate the medical healthcare and fitness products market globally.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges in the medical healthcare and fitness sectors.
  • Analyse competitor activities and market dynamics to position the company effectively to win OEM/JDM projects for manufacturing.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and contract manufacturing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including key brands and corporations, healthcare providers, fitness centers, and industry influencers.
  • Acquire new business from connections & new search from RFQs execution to deals closed with clients, partners, and vendors to drive revenue growth.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Set and achieve ambitious sales targets with target customers for the healthcare and fitness product segments for business development and penetration.
  • Develop new sales and monitor sales performance to meet business objectives.
  • Work closely with the product development and manufacturing teams to ensure our offerings align with market needs and customer preferences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of business strategies.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends.
  • Present market insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, with a focus on the healthcare and/or fitness electronic manufacturing industries.
  • Proven track record of successfully expanding into new markets and achieving revenue growth.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of the medical healthcare and fitness products market in Singapore and global market.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards in the healthcare sector.
  • Good experience & knowledge in contract manufacturing, ODM/OEM projects quotation & execution.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships and close deals with key players & stakeholders.
  • Strong leader to lead & manage the business team to achieve company’s goals.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in other languages (e.g., Mandarin, European language) is a plus.
