What will you do as a Business Developer?

As a Business Developer for LNG, you will identify and initiate project-based capital investments proposals and manage or participate in new business development projects (including greenfield and brownfield), mergers and acquisitions in order to support sustainable growth of the company.

What do we expect from you as a Business Developer?

  • Over 10 years of commercial experience in the LNG industry, with a focus on origination, project development and execution.
  • Extensive knowledge of LNG infrastructure development, key stakeholders or companies in the sector, logistics, and regulatory frameworks, either from LNG supply or LNG import projects.
  • Proven record & experience ability in leading to lead and managing e complex deal structures, , with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent presentation skill
  • Demonstrated ability and flexibility to work well with multi disciplinary multi-disciplinary teams both in country and virtually globally
  • Familiarity with the nuances of conducting business in the Asia landscape is a must.

Your Core Responsibilities Are

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, forge strategic alliances as appropriate, and manage relationships with key industry stakeholders.
  • Develop and present LNG storage and terminal business opportunities to Vopak management, focusing on quantitative benefits and project risks.
  • Develop and negotiate partnership and joint venture structures within the LNG storage and terminal business.
  • Negotiate and manage key LNG storage and terminal contracts with customers and potential contractors, collaborating with partners to ensure project alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Project Development

  • Negotiate and manage key contracts with key customers and potential contractors, working alongside partners to ensure project alignment with organizational goals and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to optimize logistics and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Oversee market research and analysis to understand the LNG to gas landscape in Southeast Asia and adjacent regions and adapt strategies to meet market demands.
  • Take the lead where required with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Market Insight & Strategy

  • Provide a quarterly LNG market update report, including an updated short-term and long-term outlook for the LNG sector, and propose relevant strategies and actions.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, forge strategic alliances as appropriate, and manage relationships with key industry stakeholders.
  • Support the development of local staff where required to move the project through execution to operations.
