As we expand our operations and presence in new markets, we are looking for a strategic and results-driven Business Development Director to lead our growth initiatives.

The Business Development Director will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing growth opportunities to expand our market presence. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the food industry, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to lead initiatives that drive revenue and brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company's business development strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify new markets and customer segments (retail chains, distributors, foodservice, and international markets).
  • Build strategic partnerships with retailers, distributors, foodservice operators, and co-manufacturers.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and business proposals.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Production to align growth initiatives and ensure supply capacity.
  • Conduct market research, monitor industry trends, and identify competitive positioning opportunities.
  • Prepare and present detailed business cases, growth forecasts, and performance reports to the executive team.
  • Attend trade shows, expos, and food industry events to network and promote the brand.
  • Lead and mentor a small team (optional based on company size).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 8 years of progressive experience in business development or sales, ideally in FMCG or food production industries.
  • Strong network within the retail and/or foodservice sectors.
  • Strong analytical thinking with a data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is highly desirable.
