Description

The Role

As a Business Development Consultant in our Singapore Health & Group Benefits team, there are 2 main areas of roles & responsibitlies:

  • Clients: you will be working with SME/mid-tier companies in Singapore on a wide variety of complex projects involving the broking, communication, funding, implementation and management of a full array of Health and Group Benefits programs including health, risk, flexible benefits and wellness benefits as well as other in-service benefits. In this space, you will serve as the project manager and day to day communication liaison with our clients, create client deliverables on proposals together with our mid-office/back-office teams, contribute to client management and lead new business activities
    • Responsible for soliciting and closing New Business within established parameters
  • Partners: To work closely with advisory and tech lead to ensure that correct partnerships are strengthened to bring in growth revenue for our teams. Responsible for managing partnerships in the area of products & solutions out of insured program, benefits advisory and wellness leading to the generation of new business to successfully meet financial targets.
    • Responsible for the delivery of quality advice and solutions for our clients
    • Responsible of ensuring all Health & Benefits clients are represented within WTW’s Benefits Data Source (Benchmarking data).

Core focus areas include:

  • Work closely with clients to develop efficient plan designs and funding arrangements that fit client goals
  • Benefit benchmarking across all forms of in-service benefits and perquisites
  • Working within a benefits optimization framework to maximize the value of benefits whilst maintaining cost sustainability. This includes leading executive interviews and running employee benefit surveys and focus groups with employees
  • The analysis of cost claims and utilization data to provide meaningful insights on trends, opportunities and risks.
  • Work with advisory lead on the design (and re-design) of flexible benefit and voluntary benefit programs to meet the diverse needs of our clients’ workforce.
  • When required, work with regional communications experts to deliver innovative benefit communications.
  • With the right opportunity, project management of complex client projects, guaranteeing delivery on time, within budget and with high quality
  • Understand the local health and wellness vendor marketplace and leverage that knowledge on clients’ behalf
  • Demonstrate proficient writing, oral presentation skills in client reports, recommendations, and presentations
  • Manages transition timeline for new clients
Qualifications

The Requirements

  • Meet requirements of the following including: M5, M9, HI, ComGI, BCP, PGI
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a business development role or Health & Benefits consulting or brokerage role, or from a C&B function in industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a strong focus on customer service
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of the Singapore vendor marketplace
  • Technical proficiency in Singaporean employee benefits
  • Broad understanding of compliance issues related to local legislation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Powerpoint, Excel and Word);
  • Proficiency in English language
