Job Description: Business Development Associate – API & Comparator Sales (Pharma Services)
Key Responsibilities
Identify and engage clients in pharma, biotech, research and CRO/CDMO sectors for API sourcing, comparator procurement, and related services
Manage client communications, prepare quotations, support proposal development, and coordinate supply requests
Track leads and opportunities using CRM tools, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate documentation
Collaborate with internal teams to assess feasibility, timelines, and sourcing logistics
Support creation of technical-commercial materials such as presentations and capability sheets
Represent the company at industry meetings, events, and client engagements
Stay updated on market dynamics, regulatory sourcing trends, and competitive offerings
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-oriented mindset
Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working across departments in a fast-paced commercial setting
Familiarity with standard business tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM platforms
Interest in or exposure to API sourcing, comparator supply, or pre-clinical trial material workflows
Preferred Background & Experience
The following experience will be considered an advantage:
Experience in API or comparator sourcing, pre-clinical trial supply, or related procurement in pharma
Familiarity with preclinical development workflows, regulatory affairs, or working with Pharma Manufacturers, CROs/CDMOs or research institutions
Understanding of ADMET principles, in vitro assays, or drug screening concepts
Experience in technical sales, scientific marketing, or account management in pharma or healthcare
Exposure to international pharmaceutical supply chains and basic regulatory documentation
