Shopee’s Regional Marketplace Operations team plays a critical role in enhancing platform usability and delivering a seamless experience for buyers, sellers, and partners.

We work at the heart of the business, partnering with cross-functional teams to manage end-to-end e-commerce operations and develop scalable solutions that drive impact across our markets. Through data-driven problem-solving and deep operational insight, we lead strategic initiatives to refine policies, streamline processes, and elevate both product and operational performance.

Our Regional Operations function comprises key teams including Customer Service, Listings, Seller Operations, Returns & Refunds, and Fraud.

Responsibilities

  • Perform root cause analysis and lead key initiatives to improve user experience and operational performance
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify pain points and recurring issues across regional and local operations
  • Develop clear, impactful dashboards and visualisation to support data-driven decision-making
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented initiatives, providing regular updates on performance metrics and outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders—including product managers, engineers, and local operations teams—to drive user experience improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related or analytics-focused field
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or Python
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with prior experience in user-centric roles or organizations
  • Comfortable working with data—able to draw insights, build reporting templates, and propose practical, data-driven solutions
  • Ability to generate impactful insights with an in-depth understanding of users’ needs on e-commerce platforms
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate processes and projects in a clear and succinct manner to stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment to make an impact and drive business goals
