The Opportunity
- Adecco is partnering with a leading bank to look for a Business Analyst
- Starts off as a 12 months contract with possible chance for extension
The Business Analyst will be based in Singapore and report to Managing Director and Head of Sustainable Finance for Asia Pacific (APAC), Middle East & Africa (MEA).
This role will require 30% administration work (PA to managing director and act as a team assistant for the department)
The other 70% will be a business analyst. This role will require someone strong in Microsoft PowerPoint. We needed someone to do client engagement, do presentation with exco members, working closely with exco members to do pitches and do research on companies' sectors, technology etc.
Responsibilities
- Business Analysis. Prepare and consolidate management reports (e.g., SF volume data), power point presentation decks, dashboards for management actions, and coordinating COE operations across APAC and MEA with coverage and product teams in Business Divisions (BDs), clients and partner institutions. Contribute to analyses and preparation of pitch decks supporting COE engagements with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations (estimated 70% of time).
- Prepare materials for internal and external mandates e.g., presentations, spreadsheets, management reports, agendas to a professional standard, maintaining attention to detail.
- Conduct analyses to support COE's work on developing new business lines and partnerships.
- Support the development of COE's SF knowledge database by tracking repository of internal DB databases and supporting COE dialogue with external data providers to establish SF.
- Conduct company research and prepare information material on sustainability programs of companies, presenting them in client-ready power point presentations and or other formats as required for key engagements.
- Administrative. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling and processing travel, expenses, invoicing as well as tracking action items, managing the BSM process and organization of key events such as Quarterly SF Town Halls and the RI Asia - PEI Annual Conference (estimated 30% of time).
- Coordinate COE leadership's dialogue with internal and externa stakeholders, schedule meetings across multiple time zones, book rooms and liaise with AV team as needed to ensure smooth audio / video connections.
- Own the organization of SF events, including booking rooms / venues and coordinating F&B requirements so that events run without disruption.
- Coordinate on-boarding of new employees and contractors to minimize set-up time.
- Manage departmental documents, team leave schedule and various system accesses.
- Facilitate senior managements travel plans, including planning and booking travel itineraries (flights, hotels, visas), organizing travel meetings, prepare and submit expense claims including corporate AMEX card and cash expenses for reimbursement.
- Coordinate office supplies, seating plans and office moves to ensure efficient use of office resources, handling purchase orders and expense / invoice processing in a timely manner.
Selection Criteria
- Degree with min 1-2 years' work experience.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good analytical skills and fully proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
- Comfortable with numbers and possess strong analytical skills to investigate financial deviations and drivers. Strong PowerPoint competency is a plus.
- Ability to be proactive, adapt to changes and willing to learn and take on additional challenges.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Highly motivated and excellent oral, written and analytical skills, demonstrating a passion for quality and attention to detail.
- Excellent research skills. Experience using Refinitiv, Bloomberg and other data platforms is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workflow, demonstrating flexibility when handling multiple tasks.
- Proven ability to drive assignments autonomously and interact confidently with senior management.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstration of strong interest and commitment to ESG/Sustainability and financial services.
