Job summary

An international technology and engineering company is seeking an IT Business Analyst based in the Ang Mo Kio/Yio Chu Kang area in Singapore. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, facilitate discussions across departments, and contribute to improving business processes. Ideal applicants will have 4-5 years of experience in business analysis, particularly in government projects, and familiarity with Agile methodologies and relevant tools.

Qualifications

• At least 4 – 5 years’ Business Analyst experience.
• Familiar with tools including Jira, Confluence, Excel, Visio, or Lucidchart.
• Strong knowledge in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, and specifications.
• Document 'as-is' and 'to-be' business processes using industry-standard modeling techniques.
• Identify inefficiencies, propose improvements, and support automation.
• Support and coordinate workshops, interviews, and walkthroughs with business users.
• Facilitate discussions to align expectations across departments.
• Assist product managers in maintaining scope, timelines, and documentation.
• Contribute to backlog grooming, sprint planning, and UAT readiness activities.
• Develop clear and structured business requirement documents and presentation materials.

They are looking out for an IT Business Analyst to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success.

Location: Ang Mo Kio/Yio Chu Kang area

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, and specifications that guide development and testing teams.
• Document “as-is” and “to-be” business processes using industry-standard modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN).
• Identify inefficiencies, propose improvements, and support automation and systemization efforts.
• Support and coordinate workshops, interviews, and walkthroughs with business users and government clients.
• Facilitate discussions to align expectations and priorities across departments.
• Assist product managers and product owners in maintaining scope, timelines, and documentation.
• Contribute to backlog grooming, sprint planning, and UAT readiness activities.
• Develop clear and structured business requirement documents, use cases, user stories, and presentation materials, ensure effective communication across both business and technical teams.
• Work with Product Managers, Business Architects, Solution Architects, and UX Designers to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and aligned with strategic objectives.

Requirements:

• At least 4 – 5 years’ Business Analyst experience, with exposure to government projects will be a strong advantage
• Familiar with tools including Jira, Confluence, Excel, Visio, or Lucidchart
• Strong knowledge in Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Education qualification in any IT/Business field or equivalent
