Job summary

DBiz.ai is seeking a Business Analyst with strong Finance ERP expertise to analyse and redesign end-to-end finance processes. You will translate business needs into scalable ERP solutions and govern vendor delivery across client projects.

You will collaborate with finance stakeholders, delivery teams, and implementation partners to standardise processes and ensure clean-core adoption with measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Business/Finance or related field.

Job description

We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong Finance ERP functional expertise to analyse and redesign end-to-end finance processes, translate business needs into scalable ERP solutions, and govern vendor/SI delivery quality across client projects. You will work closely with finance stakeholders, delivery teams, and implementation partners to drive process standardisation, clean-core adoption, and measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Business process analysis (Finance)
• Conduct end-to-end analysis of finance workflows: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting.
• Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and control issues; propose ERP product-based improvements.
• Document AS-IS / TO-BE processes and requirements.
• Simplify and standardise processes using ERP platform capabilities and clean-core principles.
• Requirements & stakeholder management
• Facilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder discussions.
• Resolve conflicting requirements; challenge legacy practices and distinguish true business/policy needs from system constraints.
• Configure/customise finance ERP components including:
• Organisational and financial structures
• Chart of Accounts, Cost Centres, Profit Centres, Projects
• Accounting rules, workflows, approval structures, business rules
• Develop prototypes / proof-of-concepts to validate requirements and solution approaches where needed.
• Reporting, analytics & enablement
• Develop financial reports and support advanced analytics (including AI-enabled insights where applicable).
• Provide consultation, user guidance, and training on best practices and new functionalities.
• Drive disciplined use of platform-native capabilities: data models, workflow engines, automation frameworks, permission models, integration connectors, extension layers.
• Support/coordinate custom coding where required for critical finance operations.
• Delivery governance & quality assurance
• Maintain accountability for delivery outcomes including vendor-delivered work.
• Conduct technical/solution reviews (similar to pull-request style reviews) to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Analyse defects and production issues across processes, configurations, integrations, and data.
• Support resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Vendor/SI challenge function
• Act as a functional specialist to independently review and challenge SI/vendor designs, configurations, customisations, and technical solutions.
• Capability building (internal standards)
• Contribute to building sustainable ERP delivery capability (e.g., standards, playbooks, reusable assets, knowledge sharing) across client engagements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Strong ownership and ability to independently drive moderately complex to advanced scopes.
• Strong experience with Agile delivery practices.
• Deep expertise in Finance ERP platforms such as:
• Oracle Fusion Finance or SAP S/4HANA Cloud (or equivalent enterprise ERP)
• Strong understanding of:
• GAAP/IFRS, financial statements, and finance reporting requirements
• Technical proficiency in:
• ERP configuration concepts, data migration, troubleshooting, and cross-module dependencies
• Strong skills in:
• Business process analysis, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management
• Proven ability to lead and govern vendor delivery with technical/functional authority.

Preferred / Advantageous

• ERP certifications (e.g., SAP / Oracle Finance).
• Experience in platform mastery and architectural thinking; commitment to engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
• Experience providing senior leadership across complex enterprise ecosystems and integrations.
• Experience in financial services environments (e.g., banking, insurance) is an advantage.
