This is a fixed-term contract position, with an expected end date of 31 December 2025.
Job Objectives
- To provide required support to the Commercial Analytics team
- We drive back-end activities internally that supports the broader Commercial community to use big data for decision making and strategic purposes; contributing to business competitiveness and customer satisfaction
- Contribute to become the Centre of Excellence for all required commercial analytical requirements and drive further development & automation of the same.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare business and pipeline reports for team and management meetings
- Develop and maintain databases, including data model design, data collection and data cleaning
- Apply basic coding to merge, compare, analyze data sets
- Identify and interpret patterns and trends in data sets, providing analytical support and insights to the commercial team.
- Other administrative tasks or duties reasonably determined from time to time by the Company
- Comply with Material Services’ mission, values and Quality Management procedures
- Maintain dialogue and work closely with other functions including Commercial & Support, Product Management and Operations teams to understand the business as well as developments and trends in the market
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Management/ Administration or equivalent
- Analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights
- Knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office or other relevant tools used for data analytics and visualisation
- Fluency in English and ability to communicate clearly to stakeholders
- Basic coding proficiency in Python, R etc preferred
- Strong analytical capability with ability to deliver data analysis that drives decision making
- Identify and offer suggestions to improve efficiency
- Have an inter-cultural understanding

- Must work effectively with others in a team environment as well as work independently with little supervision, depending on the task at hand
- High level of communication skills and effective interpersonal skills appropriate for interacting with customers and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
