We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Business Analyst to join our Corporate Systems team. The successful candidate will be responsible for essential application and operational support, incident management, and maintaining technical documentation for various platforms and applications under the Administrative, Campus, and Facilities domain. The Junior Business Analyst will collaborate closely with the user community, internal technical teams, and other stakeholders to leverage technology for business needs and operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Application & Operation Support
Provide maintenance and support of applications.
Monitor and resolve issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption to business
operations.
Incident Management
Manage and resolve incidents, ensuring they are logged, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.
Collaborate with technical teams to identify the root cause of incidents and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
Technical Documentation
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for systems and applications.
Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Quality Testing
Conduct quality testing for system fixes and enhancements to ensure they meet specified requirements.
Coordinate with technical teams and users to validate the system changes do not adversely affect business processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with the user community to understand their problems and needs, provide workaround and solutions.
Liaise with internal technical teams and external vendors to coordinate on fixes and resolution.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and incident resolutions.
Prepare regular updates on incident management and application support activities.
Requirements
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Proficient in MS Office, MS SQL, Oracle SQL, Sharepoint, and Web Development.
2 to 3 years of relevant experience in application development, system maintenance & support.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good grasp of IT technologies, methodologies, systems and software applications.
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with different levels of stakeholders, including users and internal technical teams.
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Must be a good team player, proactive in nature, fast learner, highly organized and positive attitude.
Experience in Higher Education industry is a bonus.
