As a Business Analyst (BA) in Singapore, your role would involve working at the intersection of business and technology, with a focus on regulatory compliance within the financial services industry. Your responsibilities may include:

Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that the organization complies with the latest regulations and standards set forth by regulatory authorities such as the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and other relevant regulatory bodies. This involves staying up-to-date with regulatory changes, interpreting regulatory requirements, and ensuring that business processes and systems are compliant.
  • Business Process Analysis: Collaborating with business stakeholders to analyze existing business processes, identify gaps in compliance, and recommend improvements to align with regulatory requirements. This may involve conducting impact assessments of regulatory changes on existing processes and systems.
  • Requirement Gathering: Eliciting and documenting business requirements related to regulatory compliance, translating regulatory requirements into functional specifications, and working closely with technology teams to ensure that regulatory changes are appropriately implemented within systems and processes.
  • Risk Management: Collaborating with risk and compliance teams to identify and mitigate regulatory risks, participating in risk assessments, and contributing to the development of risk management strategies.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engaging with business stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and external vendors to facilitate discussions, address regulatory queries, and provide subject matter expertise on regulatory matters.
  • Project Management: Participating in regulatory change projects, managing the BA activities within these projects, and ensuring that regulatory requirements are effectively incorporated into project deliverables.
