Ideal candidates should possess at least three years of experience in Business Analysis, preferably with expertise in the insurance or financial sectors.

Job description

Salary: 8850 SGD / month

Must be able to communicate effectively with China vendors as the role requires liaising with them.

Business Analyst
  1. Job Title: Business Analyst
  2. Job Relationships: The job holder reports to the head of section within the Business Analysis unit under the Application team.
  3. Job Functions: Responsible for gathering requirements, process modeling, preparing requirement specifications, acting as a communicator between end-users, solution team, and vendors, preparing test scenarios, conducting integrated testing before user acceptance testing, and managing project timelines and vendor relations.
  4. Job Responsibilities:
    1. Impact and Contribution: Achieve objectives, investigate user-reported issues, establish relationships, prepare requirement specifications, manage testing and project timelines, and coordinate with vendors and solution teams.
    2. Communication: Explain policies, gather requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and escalate issues as needed.
    3. Innovation: Identify problems in existing systems, perform data extraction, and recommend solutions.
    4. Knowledge: Apply broad business and system knowledge, and serve as a domain specialist in support areas such as Processing, Claims, Insurance, or Finance.
  5. Nature and Scope: Responsible for managing information systems, including development, operations, support, and expansion, under supervision of the section head. Expected to be proactive, eager to learn, and collaborative.
  6. Competencies:
    1. Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Analysis or related area.
    2. At least 3 years in a user environment; insurance qualification or financial sector experience preferred.
    3. Broad business experience, knowledge of SDLC cycle, and implementation skills.
    4. Must be able to communicate effectively with China vendors. Good analytical and listening skills.
    5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    6. Good attitude, self-motivated, and able to maintain good relationships across all levels.
    7. Strong organizational and time management skills.
    8. Experience in the insurance domain or financial industry is preferred.
