Job summary

DBiz.ai is seeking a Data Governance & Compliance professional in Singapore to define and implement data management strategies, ensuring secure storage, processing and sharing of data with strong governance, privacy and protection practices.

You will partner with government agencies and external stakeholders to align data strategy with organisational goals, drive governance improvements, and lead protection initiatives, incident management and data sharing safeguards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics/Management, Law, Information Management, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.
• Experience delivering data governance, data protection, or data security initiatives.
• Familiarity with policy standards, frameworks, processes, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement data governance strategies and best practices.
• Coordinate data security risk management and personal data protection programmes.
• Collaborate with government agencies and partners to align data strategies with goals.
• Lead data protection and privacy initiatives and ensure proper data sharing safeguards.

Job description

• Join the Data Governance & Compliance function to help define and implement data management strategies
• Ensure data is stored, processed, and shared securely through strong governance, privacy, and protection practices
• Drive standards and process improvements related to data governance, citizen consent, and data management
• Partner closely with business teams, government agencies, and external partners to align data strategy with organisational goals

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and impact analysis to shape initiatives; define and track success metrics and continuously improve solutions
• Plan and run programme activities and assessments for Data Security Risk Management and Personal Data Protection
• Work with internal/external stakeholders to structure data sharing arrangements with appropriate data protection safeguards
• Support Data Incident Management and Enterprise Data Risk Management activities
• Review, develop, and drive awareness/adoption of data standards, policies, frameworks, processes, procedures, and guidelines
• Serve as the main liaison for Data Protection and Data Security queries and request submissions with other Government Agencies
• Guide integration of data protection, data privacy, and data security procedures into day-to-day business operations

• Advantage: certifications in data governance, data protection/privacy, cybersecurity, incident management, or analytics-related fields
• Advantage: experience drafting or complying with Singapore Government IM8 policies
• Advantage: experience in data and/or cybersecurity domains
