About the role
Toyota Tsusho Marine Fuels Corporation (Singapore Branch) is seeking an experienced Bunker Trader / Marketer, you will play a crucial role in growing our business and expanding our client base within the marine fuels industry.


What you'll be doing

1. Trading & Sales:
  • Purchase and sell marine fuels (bunkers) to ship operators and owners.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers and customers.
  • Execute trades and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Monitor vessel movements and follow up on any operational issues.
  • Monitor global oil markets and price trends.

2. Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including ship owners, operators, and brokers.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Develop Carbon Neutral initiative or any new business opportunities and expand the client base.
  • Assess and manage counterparty risk.

3. Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of trades, transactions, and communications.
  • Prepare regular reports on trading activities, market conditions, and performance.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory standards.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the marine fuels or bunker trading industry
  • Strong understanding of the global marine fuels market, including pricing, supply, and logistics
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of international maritime regulations and environmental standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and comfortable with various trading and maritime software
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required
  • Experience with risk management and compliance.
  • Prepared to work flexible hours due to the global nature of the business.
