Job description

1. General Inspections:

- Conduct routine inspections of buildings and facilities to identify maintenance needs and potential safety hazards.

2. Repairs and Maintenance:

- Perform minor repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and other building systems.

- Handle tasks such as fixing leaks, replacing light bulbs, and repairing doors and windows.

3. Cleaning and Upkeep:

- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, restrooms, and grounds, including outdoor spaces.

- Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling practices are followed.

4. Safety Compliance:

- Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with safety regulations and building codes.

- Conduct regular safety checks on fire alarms, emergency exits, and safety equipment.

5. Coordinating Repairs:

- Assist in scheduling and coordinating with external contractors for larger repair or maintenance projects.

- Monitor work performed by contractors to ensure quality and adherence to standards.

6. Emergency Response:

- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, such as plumbing leaks or electrical failures.

- Follow emergency protocols and procedures during incidents.

7. Documentation:

- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs completed, and inventory levels.

- Report on ongoing issues and suggest improvements for preventive maintenance.

8. Customer Service:

- Interact with building occupants or tenants to address their maintenance requests and concerns.
