Job Description:
Ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance in the centre.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support in the centre's daily activities and during events.
- Support organizational operations and research needs through workshops, laboratories, offices, building infrastructure, and premise security management.
- Conduct daily walkabouts in the centre to ensure good operational condition, security, and safety compliance.
- Maintain a safe working environment within the centre.
- Track, maintain, and order operational inventories; maintain a systematic filing system.
- Collaborate with in-house contractors for facilities feedback to keep the centre operational daily.
- Assist in liaising with vendors for quotations, equipment, and services; monitor contractor work quality, schedule, and safety during execution.
- Handle requests and queries from staff and management.
- Work with internal stakeholders/partners to support centre operations.
- Assist in executing corporate facilities-related projects.
- Investigate, check, and analyze reports of workshop and laboratory breakdowns.
- Facilitate the development of facilities-related SOPs, forms, and presentation materials.
- Perform handyman tasks as needed.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- At least NITEC in a related field (Facilities / Safety / Operations).
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in operations related to workshops, laboratories, facilities, building services, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Willingness to work occasional off-shift hours to support operations.
- Ability to break down work into deliverable tasks and provide realistic timelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AV systems; experience in office outfitting or relocation projects is an advantage.
- Experience supervising contractors and subcontractors in facilities management.
- Some understanding of HS&E requirements.
- A self-driven, meticulous individual with strong multi-tasking abilities.
