A maritime services company is seeking an Assistant Technical Superintendent in Singapore. You'll be responsible for overseeing dry docking processes, creating accurate repair specifications, managing budgets, and negotiating with vendors. Ideal candidates will have a diploma in shipbuilding or marine engineering and experience in commercial dry docking. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to keep costs within budget.

Qualifications

• A diploma in shipbuilding, naval architecture, or marine engineering is required.
• Experience in a commERCIAL dry docking capacity is preferred.
• Prior experience as a superintendent in a shipyard or shipping business is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Create an accurate dry-dock repair specification within three months before docking.
• Communicate with shipyard staff to arrange dock space.
• Evaluate yard quotes and negotiate budgets for approval.
• Keep overall dry-docking costs under control within the budget.
• Compile weekly financial progress reports for the attending superintendent.
• Negotiate draft invoices with shipyards to minimize costs.
• Assist the DD-Site Team and examine shipyard bills to save costs.

Skills
