Job summary

Versant Media, LLC is seeking a Studio Operations Intern for CNBC International APAC in Singapore. The role offers hands-on exposure to daily live TV news production within the CNBC Studio technical production team, with training from experienced Studio Directors.

You will assist in setup, camera operation, audio mixing, and floor management across live and pre-recorded programmes, gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced broadcast environment.

• Polytechnic student currently pursuing a diploma.
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player who can work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to adapt to new environments and learn quickly.
• Meticulous with a keen eye for detail.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and in a live broadcast setting.

Responsibilities

• Setup studio ancillary equipment in preparation for daily live TV news production.
• Perform live TV audio mixing using professional broadcast sound mixer.
• Operate up to 8 robotic cameras and a Jib.
• Work closely with Studio Directors and learn how to set up camera shots and angles.
• Set up anchors, correspondents, reporters and guests with microphones and in-ear-monitors before air.
• Learn to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance of studio equipment.
• Observe Studio Directors to understand floor management and cue coordination between floor and control room.
• Provide technical production support to News Editorial and Operations teams.
• Participate in CNBC outdoor broadcast news coverage and events when requested.
