Role Summary
The Brand and Marketing Manager role oversees the implementation of sales and marketing strategies within the SEA region for a portfolio of Kendo brands. The Brand and Marketing Manager will be directly responsible for delivering on the KPI targets including Retail Sales, Wholesales & budget objectives for Fenty Beauty. This is a 360 degree role, owning all brand management and marketing functions for their brands.
Role Description
Brand Management
- Work in partnership with Planning Team to set, review and analyse retail/wholesale targets on a weekly basis
- Partner with the Global Brand Management and Marketing teams to set yearly brand and marketing strategies for all brands ensuring alignment with all key stakeholders
- Collaborate with retail partners on joint business planning, lead brand strategy meetings and lead negotiations to secure the best support within Sephora
- Collaborate closely with Retail & Education Team to ensure brand message is cascaded via BAs to consumers
- Work closely with global brand partners and champion the needs for the region
Planning
- Partner with the Planning Manager to ensure product forecasts, inventory and obsolescence plans are all aligned to the brand strategies
- Lead the planning and forecasting of new product launches and negotiate placement of new product pipeline with retail partners
- Partner with the Planning Manager and Retail Manager to ensure healthy stock levels are maintained at all times, especially on key bets and top SKUs
Marketing
- Plan and execute marketing plans for newness and core in region, in accordance to brand guidelines
- Monitor the effectiveness of marketing activities and refine concepts and strategies into innovating marketing activities that address business objectives
- Have a social and digital first mindset expertly developing innovative digital and social components into the core brand marketing strategies and partnering with Sephora to ensure integration of brand campaign assets into their digital media and social animation plans
- Partner with Sephora CRM team to implement a communication schedule leveraging Sephora loyalty programs and identify new opportunities to reach new and engage customers in the brand
- Partner with the PR and Social Media Manager to ensure that all PR and social media strategies align with overall brand objectives
- Manage marketing budgets to ensure ROI targets are achieved for brand
- Define pricing strategy for new launches
Visual Merchandising
- Responsible for overall in-store merchandising and gondola updates, ensuring it meets brand guidelines and is updated seasonally to reflect new launches and discontinuations
General
- Prepare monthly and post-launch reports, providing feedback and recommendations to Global teams
- Influence the overall Kendo SEA culture by proactively engaging with all members of the team and helping to foster a culture of collaboration, entrepreneurship and creativity
- Implement processes and procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency for the brand and marketing function
Role Requirement
- 6 to 8 years’ of relevant experience in a Brand or Marketing role, preferably from Beauty industry
- Strategic thinker and brand builder
- Team player that inspires others and collaborates cross functionally
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities
- Strong organizational, keen attention to detail, follow-up skills
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills, results-oriented
- Good interpersonal skills high level of integrity

- Ability to deploy ideas effectively and present to Senior Management
