Branch Manager, Track Infrastructure Maintenance

SMRT Trains Ltd operates Singapore's first mass rapid transit system, managing train services on five core lines across 108 stations.

Job Purpose

Lead a team of Engineers to ensure the safety and reliability of SMRT's Track and Third Rail system through preventive, corrective, and overhaul maintenance, and renewal planning.

Responsibilities

  • Work at any SMRT depot, track, or facility and rotate or fix shifts per MOM guidelines.
  • Provide leadership and manage Track Infrastructure Maintenance, monitor system performance, and develop sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure Branch KPIs and quality maintenance requirements are met, including troubleshooting faults and interfacing with SMRT or LTA departments.
  • Review maintenance processes to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient public transport.
  • Analyze defect trends to improve maintenance strategies.
  • Update System Hazard log and Risk register.
  • Implement cost‑effective technologies to enhance performance.
  • Coach engineers on diagnostics and sustainable solutions.
  • Safeguard staff safety, welfare, and development.
  • Report workplace safety concerns.

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Civil, or Structural Engineering and 10+ years managerial experience in a maintenance organization.
  • Previous Railway System experience is advantageous.
