A leading retailer is seeking a Bookstore Cashier responsible for sales transactions, customer service, and store maintenance. The ideal candidate will provide excellent service, accurately process payments, and support daily operations. A salary of SGD 2200 per month is offered, with opportunities for growth in a dynamic environment.
Job Summary:
The Bookstore Cashier handles sales transactions, maintains accurate cash records, and provides excellent customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Transactions:
- Process purchases, returns, and exchanges using the cash register.
- Accurately handle cash, credit, and digital payments.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and credits as needed.
2. Customer Service:
- Greet customers, answer inquiries, and provide product recommendations.
- Address complaints and escalate issues to management when necessary.
3. Store Maintenance:
- Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
- Restock shelves and tidy displays near the cashier station.
- Assist with inventory checks and report discrepancies.
4. Administrative Duties:
- Balance cash drawer at the start and end of shifts.
- Prepare and submit daily sales reports.
5. Additional Tasks:
- Support staff during busy periods and assist with promotional events.
Qualifications:
- GCE O Level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
