A leading company in waste management is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee the incineration plant's operations. This role involves ensuring safety and compliance standards are met, managing team performance, and optimizing operational efficiency. Ideal candidates will possess a background in engineering and proven leadership in industrial settings.
1. Provide proactive supervision and direction at all times to ensure the incineration plant operates safely, environmentally responsibly, and efficiently to meet production targets.
2. Ensure critical plant parameters are within targets, and provide guidance and troubleshooting for any plant upsets or issues.
3. Be knowledgeable about operating targets and strategies (KPIs), and lead the team to achieve these results.
4. Plan and communicate effectively with the HOD to ensure targets are met.
5. Maintain sufficient levels of reagents and consumables for daily operations.
6. Plan equipment handovers to maintenance to minimize downtime, including during shutdowns and turnarounds.
7. Review and update operational procedures, risk assessments (RA), and standard operating procedures (SOP).
8. Assist in preparing and monitoring monthly budgets for reagents, consumables, and other controllable expenses.
9. Support report writing and dashboard development for plant performance and compliance reporting.
10. Support operational training development and tracking in collaboration with safety and HR teams.
11. Support engineering on plant improvement initiatives and capital projects.
12. Lead energy management, improvement/modification initiatives, and manage change (MOC), design reviews, commissioning, and PSSR.
13. Create and maintain formal documents.
14. Ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
15. Oversee management, operation, and maintenance of the sludge plant and related systems.
16. Coordinate waste arrivals with transport and logistics teams.
17. Manage and control the odour system.
18. Handle ash, RO system, and Z conveyor operations.
19. Liaise with MOM and NEA for boiler inspections and reports.
20. Prepare procedures, checklists, and training materials for technicians and operators.
21. Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and contractors for work activities.
22. Coordinate with biomass, dryer, laundry, and ISO tank operations.
23. Collaborate with other departments such as lorry crane, tanker, and depot.
24. Coordinate with Purchase, Admin, Accounts, and Sales for timely document submission.
25. Source materials, contractors, and spares; liaise with suppliers for procurement and delivery.
26. Engage with external parties for plant improvements.
27. Coordinate with internal and external parties for new project execution.
28. Ensure plant safety and housekeeping standards.
29. Hold safety responsibilities and report unsafe conditions.
30. Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Plant Manager and Chief Engineer.
