Job summary

MATRIX TECH PTE. LTD. is hiring a new-graduate Software Systems Design Engineer focused on blockchain security and protocol design. You will explore cryptography, distributed systems, and attacker-minded design to harden wallet and core systems against protocol-level threats.

You will analyze protocols like Ethereum, Cosmos, Substrate, Solana, and contribute to defense-in-depth architecture, threat modeling, and security audits, with a strong emphasis on practical engineering work.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or above preferred in Computer Science, Cryptography, or Network/Cyber Security.
• New graduate or up to 2 years of work experience.
• Strong command of one systems programming language: Java, Go, Rust or C++.
• Familiar with threat modeling, secure coding standards, pentesting mindset, supply-chain security.
• Experience in distributed systems design, concurrency and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate how mainstream blockchain protocols work under the hood and redesign wallet systems grounded in secure cryptographic mechanisms.
• Develop hardening and mitigation plans for the wallet system against protocol-level vulnerabilities.
• Drive security-requirement-driven architecture changes and defense-in-depth for critical modules.
• Track cutting-edge blockchain attack techniques and translate research into ship-ready improvements.
• Participate in security audits of internal systems and open-source dependencies, driving remediation.
