Job description

  • Operate and monitor downstream processing equipment in a GMP-compliant environment.
  • Work in cleanroom (coldfloor/shopfloor) conditions to support daily production runs.
  • Perform routine sampling, equipment checks, and in-process inspections.

Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Biotechnologist to join our downstream manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for candidates with a GMP mindset and prior lab or internship experience in the biomedical, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry, particularly in downstream processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor downstream processing equipment in a GMP-compliant environment.
  • Work in cleanroom (coldfloor/shopfloor) conditions to support daily production runs.
  • Perform routine sampling, equipment checks, and in-process inspections.
  • Assist in batch documentation, deviation reporting, and ensure data integrity.
  • Support equipment cleaning and maintenance in accordance with SOPs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, QC, Engineering) to meet production targets and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field; relevant experience will be considered.
  • Hands-on lab experience (internship will be considered) in a regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with GMP principles and laboratory best practices.
  • Exposure to downstream processes, such as purification, filtration, or final product formulation.
  • Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments (cold rooms/cleanrooms).
  • Proficiency or working knowledge of PCS 7 or similar process control systems is a strong advantage.
  • Good documentation skills and attention to detail.
